01Overview

The short version, on one page.

Cricverse SportsTech Pvt Ltd ("Swing", "we", "us") provides apps and services for sports, Swing Player, Swing Biz, Swing Live, and the website swingcricketapp.com. We're the data controller for personal data we process about you in connection with those services.

02What we collect

The categories below cover everything we collect across Player, Biz and Live. Not all of it applies to every user.

Account & identity

• Name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, profile photo.
• Sports profile, role, position, playing style, club, academy, age group and sport-specific attributes.
• For Organisers: business name, GST/registration details, signing-authority contact.

Match & performance data

• Play-by-play scoring records, outcomes, lineups, partnerships, substitutions and event data.
• Derived statistics, sport-specific scores, ratings, averages, efficiency metrics and the "Swing Index" composite metric.
• Match metadata, venue, opposition, format, weather, surface and organiser notes captured by the scorer.
• Optional: video clips you upload, voice memos, training-session logs.

Device & technical

• Device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, crash diagnostics.
• IP address, approximate location (city-level) derived from IP, network type.
• Precise location only if you explicitly enable "Auto-detect venue" for live scoring.

Payments & rewards

• Subscription plan, billing address, last 4 digits of payment instrument, transaction IDs. Full card numbers are handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor, we never see them.
• IP Points balance, earn and redemption history, partner-redemption details.

Communications

• Support tickets, in-app chat with our team, feedback you submit.
• Comments and reactions you post on team feeds, match pages, or community spaces.

03How we use your data

We do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models, and we do not share your data with advertising networks for targeted ads.

04Legal bases (for users in jurisdictions that require one)

• Contract, to provide the Service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests, running and securing the platform, fraud prevention, product analytics, direct marketing of related Swing features (you can opt out any time).
• Consent, precise location, marketing emails, processing of children's data, optional video uploads.
• Legal obligation, tax records, KYC for monetary IP-Points redemption, lawful disclosure requests.

05Match data & visibility

Sport is often a public, team or community activity, and Match Data is shared between participants. Here's what's visible to whom:

• Public scorecards, once published by the Organiser, scorecards (your name, runs, balls, dismissal, fielding events) appear on public match pages.
• Profile-level stats, your aggregate batting and bowling stats are visible on your profile to teammates, opponents and your network. You can switch your profile to Private in Settings, which limits visibility to teammates and Organisers you've joined.
• Sensitive fields, your phone number, email, date of birth, and home address are never shown on public profiles or scorecards.

06Children & junior athletes

Swing is widely used at age-group level. We take this seriously.

• Users under 13 may use Swing only via a parent- or guardian-managed account, or via an academy that has obtained verifiable parental consent.
• For users aged 13-17, registration requires confirmation that a parent, guardian or registered coach has agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
• Junior profiles default to Private, with reduced ad-hoc messaging permissions and restricted visibility to verified Organisers and teammates.
• We never use a minor's data to send marketing or run behavioural analytics beyond what's needed to run the Service.

07Sharing & disclosure

We share personal data only in these specific situations:

• With other users, where the Service is built around shared activity, your team, opposition, scorers, organisers, and (for published matches) the public scorecard.
• With Organisers you join (academies, clubs, leagues), they receive the contact and performance data they need to run programmes and tournaments, under contractual confidentiality.
• With service providers (see §08) under data-processing agreements, only for the purposes we instruct.
• With broadcast and media partners, only where the Organiser has elected to syndicate match data and only as much as is needed for the broadcast (typically scorecard + selected stats).
• For corporate transactions, if Swing is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the acquirer under equivalent protections, and we'll notify you.
• For legal reasons, to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Swing, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not "share" your data for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined under California or similar privacy laws.

08Service providers

Where we rely on third parties to run parts of the Service:

09International transfers

Swing is operated from India. To deliver the Service to a global sports community, we may transfer personal data to service providers in regions including Singapore, the EEA, the UK and the United States. Where required, we use EU Standard Contractual Clauses, UK IDTA, or equivalent safeguards. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers where consent is the applicable basis.

10Data retention

• Active accounts, we keep your data for as long as your Account is active.
• Inactive accounts, accounts unused for 36 months may be archived; we'll email you first.
• Match Data, scorecards and aggregate stats are kept indefinitely as part of the sports record. On account deletion, your name is anonymised on those scorecards.
• Financial records, invoices, GST returns and tax records are retained for 8 years as required by Indian law.
• Support logs, kept for up to 24 months.

11Your rights & choices

You can exercise the following rights from Settings → Privacy, or by emailing privacy@swingcricketapp.com:

• Access, download a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction, fix anything that's inaccurate or out of date.
• Deletion, delete your Account and associated personal data (subject to §10 above).
• Portability, export your match history and stats in a machine-readable format (JSON / CSV).
• Objection & restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask us to restrict processing while we resolve a query.
• Withdraw consent, for anything you previously consented to.
• Marketing opt-out, turn off product marketing emails any time, in-app or via the unsubscribe link.

We respond to verified requests within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

12Security

We protect personal data with industry-standard controls, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest (AES-256), strict role-based access, audit logging, vendor due diligence, and routine security reviews. We run a private bug-bounty programme; if you've found something, please email security@swingcricketapp.com before public disclosure.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever suffer a personal-data breach that's likely to result in significant risk to you, we'll notify affected users and the relevant regulator within the timelines required by law.

13Cookies & tracking

The website at swingcricketapp.com uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Strictly necessary, sign-in session, CSRF protection, language and theme preference.
• Analytics, first-party, self-hosted PostHog. Anonymised, no cross-site tracking.
• Functional, remembering whether you've dismissed a banner.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings, disabling necessary cookies will break sign-in.

14Region-specific notices

India (DPDP Act, 2023)

Swing is a "Data Fiduciary" under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may exercise rights of access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal and nominee designation by contacting our Data Protection Officer at privacy@swingcricketapp.com. If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

European Economic Area & United Kingdom

Where GDPR / UK GDPR applies, Swing is the controller of your personal data. Our representative for users in the EEA can be reached at eu-rep@swingcricketapp.com. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, or in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended), you have rights to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise rights, email privacy@swingcricketapp.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request".

15Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes are notified in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Prior versions are archived at /legal/privacy/archive.
